Reflection

Who is this looking back at me?

She touched the glass hesitantly

Familiar in a far off sense

As if we’ve met but never since

A pretty girl in a certain way

Lost somewhere she will not say

An impelling  plea in her blue, blue eyes

Find me! Save me! their reflection cries

Once we knew each other well

Perhaps again, time will tell

She touched the glass hesitantly

Who is this looking back at me?

For Mom, xoxo

Being Mother’s Day today I thought I’d share a quick post of a little something I wrote for my Mom.

World on her shoulders
Heart in her hands
Hope in her eyes
Save your soul if she can

Constant as a star
Soft as snow
Warm as hearth fire
Pure inner glow

My conscience, my guide (more…)
